Areas of Focus
Digestion and Bowel Health
Bloated? Gas? Heartburn? These and other digestive symptoms can be corrected through diet and nutrition. Instead of just masking your symptoms, fix the root of the problem once and for all.
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common disorder that affects the large intestine. Some symptoms associated with IBS include bloating, abdominal pain, cramping, gas, and diarrhea or constipation, or both. A Registered Dietitian can assist you in controlling the symptoms of IBS through identifying foods that may be causing the symptoms and recommending foods that will promote a healthy bowel.
Abdominal distention can also be related to digestion and bowel health. Bloating can occur for a number of reasons, and can accompany multiple symptoms such as fever, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea or abdominal pain. Your Registered Dietitian can assess and examine the causes of distention and work with you to reduce symptoms, creating a healthy functioning digestive system.
Eating Disorders and Disordered Eating Patterns
An eating disorder is described as a preoccupation with weight and food. A Registered Dietician can work with you to correct disordered eating patterns, including Binge Eating Disorder.
Finding Nutritional Balance
Tired of yo-yo dieting? Tried all the fads out there? Learn the tools you need to achieve and maintain your health goals, and eat REAL food while you do it! One on one consulting will allow for our Registered Dietitian to identify any underlying imbalances that need to be corrected to ensure you are successful in achieving your goals.
Food Sensitivities and Allergies
Often we can encounter sensitivities or reactions to certain foods in our diets. Food sensitivity screening allows you to see a comprehensive panel of foods and how they react in your body. Based on the findings, your Registered Dietitian can make recommendations to modify your food choices so that sensitivities and reactions are minimized.
Managing Children’s Mood with Food
What your children eat directly affects their behavior. Working with our Registered Dietitian can ensure your child’s academic performances and moods are not being negatively effected by food sensitivities, chemicals or nutrition imbalances.
